Tom Gommels, owner and president of MBI has 23 years experience in the remodeling industry.

Tom learned the construction trade from the inside out as both a framing and trim carpenter. In 1993 Tom formed Master Builders which then became incorporated in 1997.

MBI was originally operated from Tom's home. In 1999 MBI was moved to it's current office at 275 37th St NE, suite 500 in Rochester, MN.

Tom is married to Candace and they have a daughter named Sophia. In their spare time, Tom and Candace enjoy outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, paintball, and four-wheeling.

Nathan Aaland is MBI's Project Manager. Nathan has 35 years experience in the industry with extensive experience as a carpenter and in various leadership positions. Tom and Nathan have maintained a working relationship and friendship for 25 years.

Nathan and his wife Linnea have celebrated more than 30 years of marriage, and enjoy spending their free time in activities with their 4 children Amy, Amber, John and Aaron as well as two grandchildren, Adien and Taylor.
